Some Organization

Like most people, I have a pile of cords around my TV/computer/DVR/modem/etc, etc, etc. I hate having them all in a pile, so I researched many solutions and I found the Cable Capture at Ace Hardware, special order of course. I ordered one, found out I loved it, and proceeded to order six more. I still think I need a few more. There are still too many cords, but at least I feel better about how it looks!

Garage Sale Finds, Continued

Today was a GREAT day for garage sales. Jess, Elizabeth, and I went sign scouting for any garage sales in the neighborhood, and found some good ones. One was a house full of children's toys, a quarter a bag. The last house had great baby gear, $3 a bag for some good stuff. Spent less than $20 today!

Fun at the Park

Last Saturday, Jessica, Nathan, and I took all the kids to the park in Atascocita. Ms. Hamilton met us there with her daughter, Bailey. We had a blast!

Havens-Collins Wedding

Our entire homegroup went to Hannah and Chris's wedding in Tomball. Since it was raining out, the wedding was moved indoors. Beautiful colors and entertaining cakes!

Rodeo Houston

Marleah and I took our annual trip to RodeoHouston; today's featured artist, Gary Allan. We were in section 626, right above the chutes, which was a cool viewing spot!

Sophie

Sophie had a good day today, hanging out with me. It's been my first Saturday in a long time to be home. She managed to get some work done, too!

Who Doesn't Love Bunko?

Ashley needed a fill-in for Bunko night, so I couldn't turn down the offer. I didn't win, but it sure was fun!

Cold Enough (in Houston) for a Fire

It's cold (for Houston) so I decided that today was the day I would use my fireplace. I've lived here for over a year and haven't never used it. I bought a fire log from H-E-B, but didn't realize until I got home that it was too short for my grate. It's burning to the side of the fireplace, rather than in the middle. Note to self: buy long fire logs!

Lawn Ornament?

Norman, Josh and Candice's dog, hangs out at Mimi and Papa's house on a regular basis. He does like to spend time by the pond. I caught him one day in a perfect pose for the camera...

A fabulous Apple

I buy organic apples from H-E-B, the best place to get them (IMO). They get them from the great Northwest, which produces some of the finest apples. This time I wound up with miniature apples, and the one I grabbed on Monday had a wonderfully long stem, so much so that I decided to share...
